| David Gibbs (...Cont.) << Return After graduation, David returned to Grand Rapids, Michigan and began working for a firm that provided architectural services to a regional grocery store chain. After a few years, he moved to a firm that specialized in K-12 educational facilities, where he was the lead architect on projects of varying size and complexity. In 1996, David joined an international engineering/architectural firm where he continued working on educational facilities, both K-12 and colleges. He also worked on other facility types. In 1999, as part Walt Disney World's preparation for its millennium celebration, David had the opportunity to work in association with Walt Disney Imagineering to renovate the Mouse Gear retail shop located in Walt Disney World's EPCOT Park. In 2001, David moved to the firm's healthcare department, working on the area's largest heart center and other hospital and healthcare facilities located across the country. Believing that aesthetics and functionality are not mutually exclusive, David combines his design and technical knowledge to create beautiful and practical facilities. |
